Hub Night - Wongam Koala Gully Project

Mitch Peake (PRCA) will be joining us at the Deception Bay Environmental Center to discus the Wongam Koala Gully Project. The project will remove weeds and plant over 17,000 feed trees in the Wongam Koala Gully (WKG), a high-quality corridor connecting the koala populations in the Bunyaville and Samford Conservation Parks. The project intends to create a Koala Totem with the help of the Traditional Owners and educate the local residents in reducing threats to koalas. It will also use innovative artificial intelligence to analyse the data collected from cameras installed at the WKG. Mitch Peake is the project manager for the Pine Rivers Catchment Association and will provide a presentation on the project.
