Hiring the hub

Deception Bay Environmental Hub

Picture

Located adjacent to the foreshore at the Northern end of Deception Bay, the Environmental Hub is a newly constructed facility with a large function room and kitchenette, fitted out for meetings, workshops, seminars and community events.

This modern building has a large verandah and covered deck area allowing people the opportunity to view the natural assets of the local area including sections of mangrove forest and the bay itself.
There is onsite and street parking which also includes accessible parking bays near the main entrance. The venue is a self-service model: all hirers are responsible for set-up/pack-down and cleaning of the venue before the conclusion of hire.

For sit down events and workshops there are chairs and tables to cater for 48 people, as well as audio-visual facilities. There is a modern divider system allowing for four internal breakout spaces (each with their own whiteboard for group work). The room can be divided into two sections (for smaller events).  The kitchenette is outfitted with a large refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities along with crockery, glasses and utensils.
